Happy New Year-- 2001

Vecchios 1-4-01

We did it again, we ran out of time.                                                            9845 Country Park Ct.

We tried to do everything under the sun,                                                Roseville, CA 95661

And we fiddled around and we entertained guests,                                    (916) 797-0636

And it’s suddenly Two Thousand One.                                                          e-mail: jansings@quiknet.com

When we think of the year gone by

And we laugh at the way we try,  We reflect, and we sigh.

Happy New Year.  Hope your life’s shining brightly.

We have thought of you often, fondly.

Naming you in our prayers nightly.

We want to “work out,” so we joined a gym.

We exercise often...at least once a week.

We feel great when we go, and my arms ache and so

They firm up--I don’t look like a geek.

Resolutions!  I’d like to say

That all laundry gets put away  On the very same day.

We have some sad news, our wonderful “Bash,”                                                Sebastian

The cleverest, most precious dog we have known                                                1-02-01

Has gone from this earth, but his value and worth                                                15 3/4 years old

Were a present, albeit a loan.        He was ours almost fifteen years,

Now in Heaven he romps and cheers.  We are drying our tears.

We took some short trips, Squaw Valley with friends.              Ann Clegg & Mike

We visited cousins in Reno--great guys,                                    Ciotta, & Centanni

And a “Bill trip” in fall.  With a plan?  Not at all!                        Drove South till

What a pleasure just chasing the skies.                                                    we drove North.

We had friends for the holidays.                                                            6-T-giving, 8-Xmas

Ate too much, & our eyes would glaze;  We washed dishes for days.

Jan sang with her group, alone, and with two.                                                Ramon Perez, Tenor

Romantic and Wine Makers Dinners, Oh, yum!                                                      Pietro Rossi, Baritone

And the most fun of all, was when she got the call                                                Bravo Ristorante

For the Governors party, by gum!

They were there in their Dickens best.                                                                        Delta Breeze quartet

At the Crocker, in velvet dressed.    Friends were very impressed.            Crocker Art Gallery

Happy New Year.  Hope that the future will bring you

Much adventure.   Love, hope, and joy in abundance,

And the sweetest of sweet memories.

Misc: Bill got a used Jaguar.  I’m still taking/giving voice lessons. We took an Italian class.  Our quartet was on local TV for Xmas, and got a gig for January, 2002!  I met a great singer, Judy Moise; when we did a museum benefit.
