[Subject: Rip DePascal]

My mother and I attended Rip's memorial service yesterday.  Rip was a family friend, a customer of my father's, and a teacher to me and my siblings.  It was a lovely tribute, and I saw Bobby Nichols there, as well as several other Amphi friends of my brothers and sister.

I went to Putney's on Fri., but I did not stay long as the cigarette smoke and smell of booze bothers me.  I saw Dean Metz and several others, and I signed the memorial book.  The principal of the school where I teach was there, and I did not know that he would even have known Rip, so that was interesting.

I'll probably see Nancy Ruhl today, as I am attending a Ruhl family function with Nancy's brother-in-law Larry later in the day.

Keep in touch,
Sherri (Zeller) Hines

The last paragraph in the obituary below says: "A last 'Happy Hour for Rip' will be held at Putney's Sports Saloon, 6090 N. Oracle Road starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5.  A memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Casa Adobes Congregational Church, 6801 N. Oracle Road.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southern Arizona Retired Coaches and Officials Association for the Rip DePascal Student Scholarship Fund.  Donations may be mailed to SARCOA at 7143 East 30th Street, Tucson, AZ 85710."
