Charlie,
Leawood is the right city.  Roberta and I had a fine time at the Reunion.  Great to see many people from the past, and also mingle with some who I was not so close to during school.  I think a good idea is to have another gathering when we all are approching or at the 60 yr. mark.  I think that would fun. Great to hear from you.
Glenn

8/6/2001:  New job
The [Detroit] Tigers lost a valued instructor this weekend when Glenn Ezell, their roving catching instructor, accepted a job as bullpen coach with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
"They called us on Saturday and it was done quickly," General Manager Randy Smith said. "We'll miss him. One of the reasons we have All-Star catchers at just about every level of the organization is because of how EZ worked with them."
Ezell wasn't looking to leave the organization, but he'd been the bench coach in Kansas City for Hal McRae, who manages the Devil Rays.
"He's like a father figure to me," Robert Fick said. "He's one of the guys who taught me to play the game and he believed in me as a catcher."

9/23/1999:  Glenn Ezell, the Tigers' roving minor league catching instructor the past two years, won the Dwight Lowry Award, given annually to the Tigers' player development man of the year. Ezell joined the Tigers in 1996 as bench coach for manager Buddy Bell and later that season became bullpen coach. In 1997, Ezell managed the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens for a month before being sidelined by heart surgery.
