Thanks for the note. Seems like we have a few navy folks around!
You must be very proud of your dad. Glad he lived a long time afterward! My dad was in the Army in WWII, served a while in Italy and was on his way to invade Japan when the war ended. He died in '95, and we always enjoyed his "war stories".

hi charlie. my father earned the navy cross flying off the original big "e", flying an sbd. his name was bob gibson and he passed away last may. i was an rd3 on the uss wallace l. lind dd 703. i became a civilian again in may of 65.

i went into the navy in 63 as a reservist and came out in 65 as a rd3. i was on a tin can out of norfolk and did a med cruise. have a wife of 20 years, laura and two daughters, katie 19, freshman at penn and jenna 16, a junior in the foothills high school here in tucson. spent 8 years in l.a. and 18 years in the bay area working in silicon valley. joined oracle as a v.p. of sales when it was a small private company in 85 and left and retired in 90 and moved back to tucson. i have been working on my golf game ever since. i would love to go to the reunion, but have not heard a word.
