After reading Nancy Adair
Weatherspoon's new book yesterday, I
got to reminiscing. Out came the old yearbook (the one for which
Nancy and I were co-editors) which had not seen the light of day in
many years. Names and faces caused memories to stir and surface.
After a quick check on line I found
your site and thought it time to
check in with you in case there were other curious 1962 grads who might
want an update.
Actually, I am just down the road from
my old alma mater in Casa
Grande, Arizona. Casa Grande has been my home ever since
graduating from the Uof A in 1977.
For the past 38 years I have been
associated with Casa Grande Union
High School where I have served as home economics teacher, counselor,
assistant principal, acting principal, assistant superintendent, and
now Superintendent. I have had a wonderful professional
experience.
I have been married to Tom Pifer,
retired drafting teacher, since
1983. We have no children but I am able to happily share his two
children and 5 grand children.
Our 50 year reunion looms more closely
than I really want to admit but
I do look forward for that opportunity, or perhaps something even
sooner than that, for some of us to gather to talk about what life was
like in 1962 and where the years since then have taken us.
