Reunion
2002
Hi All,
Sheila is going to reserve this
ramada for Sunday, Oct. 13th, for the day. We'll probably make
the hours for 10:00 to 2:00 or 3:00???? There's a little money in
the kitty that could pay for tablecloths, balloons, etc. Then people
can bring their own food and drink. Okay???
Nancy

Checked out ramadas today at
Reid Park - 6 available for 35-40 people. #5 seems to be the nicest
one ---
-- off of Randolph Way/22nd
St and south west of Zoo Admin Bldg
-- parking 40 ft or so from
ramada
-- close restrooms
-- lots of grass and lots of
room for volleyball, badminton or horseshoes
(nothing
can be set up on soccer field)
-- four concrete tables under
ramada with two more close by
-- electrical outlets available
(need short extension cord if used)
-- large grill available
-- water fountain
-- lots of trash barrels
-- shade trees close to ramada
(blankets, lawn chairs or whatever)
-- playground near if grandchildren
attend
-- NO ZOO odors
I looked at all the available ramadas and this one appears to be the nicest. Some are available off Country Club/Pincic Place but less shade, less grass, and no restrooms without a hike, and not much space for vollyball or horseshoes. Many ramadas appear to be "clustered" together and the #5 above is by itself - next ramada to the west is maybe 75ft away.
This ramada is much nicer than
the one at Ft Lowell.
Comments anyone ???
Need to get reservation in soonest - $10 bucks and it's ours .............
