Karen A. Shalvay
February 22, 1946 - October 16, 2004

Devoted wife of Thom for 33 years; son Patrick and wife, Jessica; seven grandchildren, Thomas, Christina, Kimberly, Anthony, Aron James, Jazmyn (Peaches) and Levi; parents, Gerald and Anna Stogdill of Lincoln, NE; brother, Blaine of Salt Lake City, UT; sister, Jan Jensen of Missouri Valley, Iowa. Born in Lincoln and moved to Tucson in 1971. She joined Epsilon Sigma Alpha, AZ Council and became the State's Outstanding Pledge her first year. Spearheaded many fundraisers for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Easter Seals, Spina Bifida Association in AZ, and many other groups. Her Betta Kappa Chapter put on a Christmas party for the Spina Bifida Association of Southern AZ for ten years. ESA AZ Council State President 1994 - 1995 and received her 25 year service pin in May 2004. She started T-K-P Rubber Stamps in 1978 and years later sold it to son Patrick. She worked at Wheel Equipment, Inc., husband Thom's 39 year old family business. She has a large collection of Angels from many countries. Some call her the "Angel Lady". She loved life, loved people and always had a smile and a kind word for family, friends and strangers. We find peace in knowing you are in Heaven, the Land of Angels, looking after us and always smiling. You were a gift from God. We love you. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20th, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY. Funeral service Thursday, October 21st 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 3809 E. 3rd St.
