Subject: AMPHI Class of 1962 : Mrs Roten obituary
Margo,
Good to hear from you! I see I
also
have a photo of you on that web site, from the year book. Please
feel
free to send me additional information to add to your Class of 1962 web
page.
Based on your note, I did a quick
search on Google.com [Amphitheater Roten] and got the following
obituary that I had not found before:
.....................................................................
Edna May Roten,
Age 82. Passed away peacefully in her sleep early on December 26, 2003
at Northeast Heights Medical Center. She was born in Peach Springs,
Arizona on November 22, 1922. Mrs. Roten taught for 30 years at
Amphitheater, and Canyon Del Oro high schools in Tucson, Arizona,
serving for a time as President of the Arizona Humanities Association.
After retiring in 1987, she traveled to India. She moved to Albuquerque
from Tucson in 1996 under the care of her son, Michael. Her life was
filled with art, music, literature and poetry. She often said "Courage
in the face of adversity." with a knowing smile. She is survived by her
sons, Dr. Charles David Roten, who resides in Washington State, and
Michael Thomas Roten of Albuquerque. She has one grandson, David. She
is also survived by her sister, Shirley Stafford also in Washington
State. She will NEVER be forgotten. Her light touched manyminds and
many lives. And there is so much more.
.............................................................................
I hope that this helps with your
memories!
