Commercial Nuclear Safety Experience
·
Engineering
review team leader at Brunswick, a Watch List BWR with 150 backlogged projects,
documenting and prioritizing $250 million in projects, resulting in fastest
commercial nuclear power plant recovery.
·
NRC
Region 3 support contractor 1998 to 2000 to assess DC Cook engineering issues
and safety systems related to the plant’s extended shutdown and recovery; four
team inspections (NRC Team Leader was Marty Farber).
·
Team
Member for 12 operational and technical design inspections at commercial
nuclear power plants. Served as lead in
the different teams to cover operations, maintenance, engineering, and
training.

Oversight Process. (see http://Technidigm.org/Technuke/nuclear.htm)
·
Designed,
developed, and implemented as technical lead the NRC Headquarters (Materials) steam
generator eddy current inspection report and regulatory oversight support database
for 76 pressurized water reactors (PWR), 1996-1997. Assessed and standardized diverse tube inspection results, summarizing
1600 inspection documents in a master relational database.
·
Technical
Lead and primary evaluator to assess Safe Shutdown Fire Protection (Appendix R)
responses for all US nuclear power plants, an 18 month DC Cook litigation
project for Shaw Pittman.

K Reactor (1990 - 1991); managed and trained 6 team members in various phases
of this critical SRS ORR.
·
Project
Technical Engineering Lead to develop the Format and Content Guide for the New
Production Reactor Program Safety Analysis Report for both proposed reactor
designs to meet life cycle configuration management, safety margin maintenance;
reliability, availability, maintainability and inspectability (RAMI), 1990.

Operational
Readiness Review Team Member, Hanford T Plant (Fluor Hanford waste processing
self assessment); lead for Procedures and Conduct of Operations; Hazard
Category Upgrade and readiness to move and store Shippingport Spent Fuel
Assemblies (2002).
